Sustainable DEI Transformation

Since our formation in 2020, we have implemented an institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion strategic plan, funded over 40 scholarships and fellowships for underrepresented minority students, trained over 480 panthers on a variety of DEI topics, and constantly strived to make FIU a more inclusive and welcoming institution.

Scholarships & Fellowships

DEI offers several scholarships and fellowships to propel underrepresented minority students' success. These funding opportunities not only support students but allow FIU to shape and diversify disciplines, industries, innovation, and research.

Affinity Groups

DEI is committed to providing faculty, students, and staff a welcoming environment where panthers from all backgrounds can thrive at one of the nation's top public research institutions. Affinity groups open up spaces for employees with shared experiences to connect, collaborate, and build community.

CRCA

Civil Rights & Accessibility

The Office of Civil Rights Compliance and Accessibility (CRCA) is tasked with making sure that FIU promotes a culturally diverse and inclusive working and learning environment where current and prospective faculty, staff, and students are valued. If any student, employee, or applicant has a good faith belief that they have been discriminated against or harassed based on age, color, disability, gender, marital status, ethnic or national origin, race, religion, retaliation, sex, or any other protected category, you can report any concerns to the CRCA team, through report.fiu.edu.
